These Terms of Use cover your use of SolarKit.co (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What SolarKit.co is

SolarKit.co is an independent online storefront for portable, balcony and plug-in solar kits, curated for Colorado. We pick the kits, publish their specs, trade-offs and our sizing math, and link to Amazon to buy. We do not sell, ship or take payment ourselves: every purchase, return and warranty claim is handled by Amazon and the seller. We also summarize public sources such as Colorado HB26-1007, utility pages and manufacturer specifications.

Nothing on this site is electrical, engineering, legal, tax, insurance or HOA advice. We do not install, inspect or certify equipment. Before you connect anything to home wiring, talk to a licensed Colorado electrician, your utility and, if relevant, your HOA or landlord. Never plug a power station output into a wall outlet.

2. Affiliate links and Amazon Associates

SolarKit.co is reader supported. Product links on this site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, SolarKit.co earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a link marked "Check price on Amazon" and buy, Amazon may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never change our rankings. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

3. Prices, ratings and availability

We do not publish prices. Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time indicated on Amazon and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of the product. Star ratings, rating counts, weights, dimensions and specifications were checked on the date shown on each page and can change at any time. Charging speeds are our estimates from stated assumptions, not guarantees.

4. How we handle reviews

Our buyer notes summarize recurring themes in public Amazon customer reviews. We paraphrase in our own words, we do not quote reviewers, we omit reviewer names and photos, and we never write fake reviews or testimonials. Individual experiences vary.

5. Intellectual property

Site text, layout, the SolarKit name and mark, and original photography are owned by SolarKit.co. Product photos and brand names belong to their owners and are used to identify products. You may share links and short quotes with credit. Do not copy whole pages or republish our images without permission.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it, attempt to break its security, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. Third-party sites

Links take you to sites we do not control, including Amazon and manufacturer pages. Their terms and privacy policies apply there. Purchases, returns, warranties and support are between you and the seller or manufacturer.

8. No warranties

The site is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is complete, current or error free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SolarKit.co and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or of any product you buy through it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
